Hammershøj Autoophug was founded in 1923 by Johannes Pedersen, the great-grandfather of the present owner, Søren Damsgaard.
Hammershøj Autoophug is Denmark’s oldest car breaker’s yard and has been in the family’s hands for four generations. But the fact that this is a long-standing company definitely does not mean that it is outdated.

We are involved in buying and selling second-hand and new spare parts. We buy spare parts chiefly from damaged cars insured by Danish insurance companies, but we also import some spares.
In addition we export products to several countries, including Poland, Lithuania, and Africa.

At present we have approximately 90,000 new and second-hand spare parts for all makes of car in stock.
We also have about 2,000 cars at our premises so that customers can pick out smaller components for themselves.
Furthermore we have access to approximately 2 million other spare parts through our membership of AD (Autoophuggernes Datalager).

Hammershøj Autoophug member of DAG & AD

As mentioned above, we are members of our trade association, Dansk Autogenbrug, and Autoophuggernes Datalager, and we received environmental certification in accordance with ISO 14001 in July 2000.
